Raksha Bandhan is all about family, about brothers protecting their sisters at all costs.
On 25th August 2018, Care For You, Belagavi chapter took 21 children from Anmol Orphanage to tie rakhis to the army personnel. These rakhis were made by the children themselves.
These children have no one to call their own. Who better than the Indian Army to safeguard and ensconce these young hearts in their capable hands.
Sheetal Bhandari spoke about Care For You and all the activities are undertaken by us. The children started the function with a song and prayer. They then did an aarti, tied rakhis and offered sweets to their brothers.
The army arranged for biscuits, snacks and tea for everyone after which they took us around and showed us the museums.
A detailed explanation followed which was eagerly absorbed by the children and members alike.
It was a memorable day for the children who not only gained brothers today but were left with a thought that the army could be a good career choice.
