Rakhi Preparation
Raksha Bandhan is but days away and our Maitree mentors wanted their mentees to experience the joy and trust this festival evokes.
The mentors held a rakhi making session on 11th August, 2018 where 5 different designs were taught to their mentees. The materials were provided by the mentors and some of them even bought a few rakhis. The girls will be bought gifts from the money collected from the sale of these rakhis. Ms. Smita Sarda very generously sponsored snacks that were enjoyed after a fulfilling craft session.
On Raksha Bandhan the girls will tie rakhis to the boys from the observation home thereby celebrating the promise by the brothers to always keep their sisters safe!
